Microscopes
Biology 4/5
Decision/ Design ProcessMy group members: Deanna and Danny wanted to create a full microscope. We just thought it would be original to make this design. Danny got a hold of the blueprints while Deanna and I figured out how we were going to make it unique.

ResearchWhen we figured out what we wanted we had to figure out how to get it. It was convenient how there were a few classmates who knew how to print and helped us how. There are quite a lot of pieces in a full microscope so we knew it was going to take long to print.
|
Flaws and StrugglesOne struggle that didn't help at all was the actual 3D printer. It was freezing and having technical difficulties so it slowed down the process for everyone, including us. We knew we were not going to have time to print our own full microscope so we teamed up with a group who also made a full microscope.

We decided to take a picture of a piece of wood. We thought it would be cool to look at something with a lot of detail under a microscope.
|
As you can see, the dust particles and peelings of the wood make it look textured and cool. Other groups did leaves and flowers, which all looked good under all types of microscopes.
