Pringle challenge
The Pringle Challenge is a very interesting and enjoyable project. The objective of the project is to mail a pringle from here (San Diego) to Chico California, Nicole's parents house and back. India, Chloe and I, used a small box (hoping to get a low mass) with a yogurt can inside, filled with cotton pads/balls. The other class graded our pringle and we graded theirs. I was so excited to see if our pringle survived. My concern was that it would break because we only used cotton products, and I didn't think the pringle would survive. Our pringle sure enough SURVIVED!!!!
We decided not to do anything complex, plus we really wanted to win the low mass extra credit. We used cotton balls/pads for low weight, we also used the yogurt can because it's the exact same size as the pringle. Only 5/9 got a 10 of intactness score. To calculate the competition score we had to divide our mass by 1000 to get kilograms then multiply that by the volume then multiply the answer by 100. I wouldn't do anything different because I did get a 10 in intactness, and sometimes it's bad to over protect your pringle because you would be smothering it so it's good to surround your pringle in easy but strong material.
